What HKS Says Changed in the 2026 HIPERMAX S

HKS has updated HIPERMAX S around what it calls the Flat Ride Concept. Here is what is claimed—and what remains untested.

HKS announced an updated HIPERMAX S suspension series for 2026, describing its development target as a better balance between handling response and ride comfort.

The vendor claim

HKS says the update incorporates its Flat Ride Concept. The company positions the revision as a way to control body movement and improve ride quality without giving up the response expected from a street-performance coilover.

What is established

Product status: Announced by HKS USA on May 11, 2026. Application coverage: Vehicle-specific and dependent on the published application lists. Street Theory test status: Not yet tested.

The phrase “best ride” remains a manufacturer claim until independent testing defines the comparison, vehicle, spring rates, damper settings, tire, alignment, road surface and driver priorities. A useful test would compare the new kit against the outgoing configuration on the same vehicle rather than relying on installation impressions alone.

What to verify before buying

Confirm the exact chassis code, included top mounts, adjustment range, replacement-part support and whether electronic-damper cancellation is required. The broad series name is not enough to establish what comes in a specific application.
