A Porsche Gathering Becomes a 7,500-Person Signal

Megaphonics 26 expanded to two days and drew more than 7,500 visitors to Boxengasse in Oxfordshire.

Porsche’s official account of Megaphonics 26 says more than 7,500 fans from the UK and overseas converged on the Boxengasse campus in Oxfordshire. The event expanded into a two-day format for the first time.

Why the number matters

The scale is notable, but the mix is the stronger signal. Porsche says the displays ranged from a 904 GTS and 917 to the current 963 hybrid prototype, while the live programme included racing driver Richard Attwood and former designer Tony Hatter. Early sports cars, air-cooled 911s, transaxle models, current GT cars, SUVs and electric cars all shared the same field.

That breadth suggests a healthy enthusiast gathering does not need to choose between history and current performance. It can give serious context to the machines while still making the owners and community the reason to attend.
